Why a Young Leader Academy Summer Program?

Most summer programs either keep kids sitting and listeningโ€ฆ or just keep them busy.

At Young Leader Academy (YLA), students are placed into real challenges where they must think, speak, and lead.

No passive learning. No boring lectures. Only real skills โ€” built through real experiences.

Max 6-12 students per class for real coaching

The Summer 2026 Line-Up

Four weeks. Four completely different experiences. Each week can stand alone โ€ฆbut together, they take students on a clear journey:

The Journey Your Child Goes Through

This isn't four random camps. It's a transformation designed to help students find their voice โ€” and learn to use it with confidence.

Step by step, students go from hesitant speakers to confident communicators who can think, speak, and lead under pressure:

1. Build (Week 1: Startup Lab)

Students learn how to think, create, and express ideas clearly. They go from having an idea to speaking up and convincing others it matters.

2. Compete (Week 2: Clash of Clans)

Now they step into a competitive world. They must defend ideas, negotiate with others, and speak up in fast-moving, high-pressure situations.

3. Lead (Week 3: The Campaign)

Students take on leadership roles. They speak with authority, respond to challenges, and begin influencing others through their words.

4. Apply (Week 4: Leadership Quest)

Finally, everything is tested in the real world. Students apply what they've learned in live missions โ€” speaking to people, solving problems, and taking initiative outside the classroom.

By the end of the summer, students don't just learn communication skills โ€” they speak up with confidence, think on their feet, and lead in real situations.

Week 1 โ€ข June 15โ€“18

๐Ÿฆˆ Public Speaking Shark Tank

Turn ideas into something people believe in.

This isn't just a business camp โ€” it's a fast-paced challenge where students learn how to take an idea from nothing and turn it into something worth backing.

They'll identify real problems, build creative solutions, and learn how to convince others to believe in their idea. Every step pushes them to think sharper, speak clearer, and respond under pressure โ€” just like in the real world.

๐ŸŒ MUN - Clash of Clans

Compete. Negotiate. Outplay everyone.

This is where strategy meets speaking.

Students enter a modified MUN world where they form nations, build alliances, and compete for influence. Every decision matters โ€” and every move must be communicated clearly to teammates, allies, and rivals.

Through a high-energy, game-like simulation inspired by Model United Nations, students don't just learn debate โ€” they live it. They argue, negotiate, persuade, and adapt in real time as the world around them changes.

๐ŸŒ The Campaign

Speak on the world stage. Rise to leadership.

Students return to a public speaking focus, stepping into global conferences every day, representing countries and tackling major issues. Through multiple speaking formats, they build authority and presence.

Then comes the twist.

After days of representing their country and addressing global challenges, students realise they have built something powerful โ€” credibility. On the final day, they rise forward as leaders and deliver a high-stakes campaign speech based on everything they have accomplished.

๐Ÿ• Leadership Quest

Prove yourself under real life pressure. Discover your leadership voice.

This week feels like a real-world game. Each day begins with a short, focused strategy session where students learn a key leadership concept โ€” then immediately step out to apply it., with daily Leadership Reflections and Presentations to ensure their growth and give them a chance to speak up.

Students take on mission-based challenges that blend a scavenger hunt, real-world interactions, and an escape room-style finale. They'll navigate the surrounding lifestyle mall as a live mission environment โ€” solving clues, approaching people, gathering information, and making decisions as a team. Every challenge requires them to think fast, communicate clearly, and lead under pressure.
